Fireside inn belfast12/18/2023 ![]() Water pressure was sufficient, as was the hot water. Had no problems with water or the operation of the faucets, toilet, or bath. Ample counterspace, which is crucial for couples/families. There also should be the same outlet setup on the small table between the two easy chairs in the suite area. The bed had electrical outlets at the bedside stand on only one side they need to be on each side. This setup worked pretty well for us we put the fan up on the bureau to get a little better air circulation. There is no air into the BR, but a tower fan is available to move the air from the suite into the BR. Room temp control is an outside wall unit in the suite area. My question: isn’t there a central schedule of when to change the batteries? If I were the maintenance chief here that is something I’d have in place. After day two it was finally discovered that the door batteries were out and we had to wait while the front office staff disassembled the door lock to put in new batteries so we could enter our room. I had to go to the front desk, who reprogrammed the key, and it took multiple tries to get the door open. Room: The room was easy to find but the electronic door was troublesome, not wanting to open. Also, every exterior door we used was fully secured, available for entry with your valid keycard. Security: I noticed cameras outside, in the hallways, and in common areas-nice. There are plenty of luggage carts available, but there is only one elevator, and it’s small so only one luggage cart at a time is going to fit in there. Both are close to doors-good-but they are regular-size spots and need to be oversized spots. Lots of parking, but only two identified handicap spots-there need to be more. Resort Fuerteventura Origo Mare by Pierre & VacancesĪrrival: Three entrances/exits to the property-nice.Hotels near Marshall Wharf Brewing Company.Hotels near Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce.Hotels near United Farmers Market of Maine.I am from Wisconsin and I recommend it to my fellow middle class Wisconsinites. I really liked my stay here and will return back. They also have the lift chairs for disabled people confined to wheelchairs for getting into and out of the pool. I didn't use the pool but I saw it and the hot tub and both looked very clean. Summary: As a middle aged woman with a middle class income, I was impressed with the friendly and helpful service, cleanliness, morning breakfast. The front desk also helped us with directions for restaurants and antique shops. There were many items: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, english muffins, danishes, fruits, cereal, make-your-own waffle, toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and several different juices and lots of coffee and cream. The breakfast is much more organized and plentiful than the Comfort Inn or Clarion Suites free breakfasts and cleaner. Several workers tidy things up, refill food and necessities. The free breakfast is well attended and there are many choices. You also have to ride a wagon to get to the fair - even if you are in a wheelchair. If you have never gone, be prepared for a long wait on the highway just to get into the parking lot at the fair. It was our first time attending that fair. We attended the Maine Common Ground Fair the second day, Saturday. ![]() I could buy quilting fabric AND watercolor painting supplies and feed both of my hobbies. My highlight was the store = Fiddleheads. We spent the afternoon walking around Belfast's downtown. We ordered and picked up pizza from Dino's Pizza. There is an onsite restaurant that I've heard has excellent food with nightly specials. This hotel is located just on the eastern edge of Belfast and it is not far to Searsport to the east for antiques and the flea market. You can look directly at the town of Belfast on the water, too, across the bay. My sister and I sat on an old log and we collected a few stones. It is about a 200 yard walk down to the beach. I noticed on the first floor that there were smokers on their patios. ![]() I used a popcan for the butts and no smoke got into the room. I am a smoker and all of the rooms are non-smoking but the lady at the front desk said it was OK to smoke on the balcony. The rooms were fantastic: walk out balcony, easily adjusted temperature on Heat/AC, very clean! Everything looks up-to-date. It was easy to use the elevator for my disabled nephew. Excellent prices for any lobster dish and a beautiful view. We stashed our bags and headed to Young's Lobster Pound for a fresh lobster lunch (open air dining in a rustic setting). Young woman at front desk was very professional and helpful. We booked 3 rooms and we checked in early and they already had 2 rooms ready for us. ![]()
